IN MEMORIAM

Bill Bradley, a name partner of Malaby & Bradley, LLC (M&B), passed away on March 22, 2013. A native of Massachusetts, Bill was a 1981 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute. Following graduation, Bill served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1982 to 1987, earning many honors and distinctions. After completing his military service, Bill graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law, where he served as the Notes and Comments Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review.

Bill began his legal career as an associate at McGuire Woods in Richmond, Virginia, and went on to become a partner with Akin Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld in New York City.

Bill left Akin Gump in 2001 and joined Malaby & Bradley. Bill's practice at M&B included trying dozens of products liability cases in federal and state courts throughout the country, including New York, California, Kentucky, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Pennsylvania and Texas. Bill tried cases of first impression regarding the state-of-the-art defense, one of which resulted in a seminal decision by the New York Court of Appeals that his client could not be held liable for reckless conduct or punitive damages.

Bill continued to practice right up until his untimely death in 2013. Bill's death is a loss not only to his family and friends but also to the entire legal community. As everyone who knew Bill knows, Bill was a consummate gentleman and a scholar.
